Summer rainfall stats reveal impacts of La Niña

The La Niña weather pattern occurs every few years, and usually causes higher than average summer rainfall.  These maps use data from the Bureau of Meteorology to compare summer rainfall of 2019 – 2020 with the summer rainfall of 2020 – 2021 to reveal how much wetter this summer was.

A number of stations across the country recorded above average rainfalls in Summer 2019/2020.
